The Metamorphosis Of Pup

8:06 PM Posted In Edit This 28 Comments »
After the retirement of Gilly, Pup has been appointed as vice captain of the Australian Cricket team. Pup Clarke's meteoric rise has raised many eyebrows, mainly because he was not even a certainty in the Australian test set up during 2006 Ashes. He played in the starting XI only because of hamstring injury to Shane Watson. He rose to the occasion and slammed two centuries to cement his place in the team.

His merits as a test player first came into light when he bludgeoned his way to 151 on his test debut against India at Bangalore. The man of the match performance showcased his gifts, and he enjoyed a purple patch which spanned around 20 test matches. Then after a string of poor outings, pup was sidelined. He subsequently clawed his way back to the national set up through sheer determination and he is now a vital cog in the Aussie batting line up. His part time bowling and athletic fielding adds an extra dimension to his game.

He possess a shrewd cricketing brain which was instrumental for his promotion. He briefly showcased his leadership qualities when he led Australia to victories in two twenty 20 matches against Zealand and India. As he continues to mature and blossom, his fans can harbor hope that he will one day replace punter and lead Australia to greater heights.

Medal Of Honor-Allied Assault Review

8:00 AM Posted In Edit This 1 Comment »
My Favourite Omaha Beach Assault!!!
(D-Day Landings)

Hi guys so i am back with another game review, this time with the most popular game series of Medal Of Honor-Allied Assault for its excellent gameplay effects on everything!!!

Actually EA Games and 2015 production units together gave this game due to good responses from the previous versions of the game namely Medal Of Honor and Medal Of Honor-Underground.

This game was promoted actually by the producer cum director Steven Speilberg and the truth is tat the first two games of this series(Medal Of Honor and Medal Of Honor-Underground) was actually produced and released by him!!!Actually the prod-director wanted to put all his battlefield thoughts in movie but was not able to do it coz of high production cost so he went on to do his dream into a game!!!!!

Who'd have thought it? A war-based first-person shooter inspired by the gr8 movie Saving Private Ryan...You play the part of a US Ranger who is dispatched to war-torn Europe around 1944. Over the game's six missions (which are split into many sub-missions - there are 30 plus levels in total) you'll get the chance to earn up to nine medals, including the fabled Medal of Honor!!!

Along with the top graphics - and sounds - this immersion is achieved through the clever AI of the enemy soldiers and the actions of our own. Often you'll be working with a squad of allied troops (not too often!!!---helping to keep as many alive as possible will earn you medals, too). When heavy enemy fire is raining down on your position, as you crouch in a bunker, shells exploding here and there, friendly troops barking status reports whilst giving you covering fire... it's simply awesome.

One of the most memorable events in the game is the D-Day landings on the coast of the Omaha Beach(First two pics Shows the Omaha beach assault) where it graphical represents the Saving Private Ryan movie...Essentially you're taking part in the D-Day landings here, and from the moment you spill out of your troop carrier it's intense, adrenaline-pumping action as you run up the beach, trying to avoid the tons of cross-fire and shells the Germans are lobbing. Some of the missions are quite scripted, as you'll see when you play them more than once, but the first time you play through MoH it's truly an awesome experience.

The single player campaign will take you a good 12 to 15 hours to finish and there's a superb variety in the missions. Some are all-out action, some require stealth, others even have you disguising yourself as a German officer and infiltrating a base. Occasionally, you get to drive vehicles too; and find out just how much damage a stolen Tiger Tank can do!

There are extension packs for this game namely the MoH:Spearhead and MoH:Breakthrough. Both are equally good with excellent breathtaking missions including driving vehicles like tanks, halftracks, motorcycles, etc. Not very long as the MoH:Allied Assault but more entertaining than the latter!!!

Even so, at least one specific example is in order, just to give a sense of how involving Medal of Honor's missions can be. You begin the first level riding in the back of a truck with four members of your squad. The squad leader informs everyone that you're attempting to infiltrate a Nazi-occupied village. You can see another truck driving behind you. Both vehicles stop at a checkpoint, and a German guard approaches the rear truck and begins talking to the driver.

As the conversation drags on, your squad becomes progressively more agitated. Finally, the driver of the rear truck pulls a gun and shoots the guard, at which point alarms sound, gunfire erupts all around you, and the rear truck explodes in a fireball. Your squad jumps out of its truck and you follow. With the leader barking orders, you all advance on the village gates, eventually making your way to a courtyard. There, you're ordered to check a door.

As you do, German soldiers appear all across the rooftops and balconies surrounding the small courtyard. You're trapped and chaos ensues, as bullets and grenades rain down on your squad. Eventually, a door is blown open and you're ordered to enter a building, get to the second floor, and commandeer a mounted gun that's currently being used against you. Once you do that, and turn the gun against the Nazis, an ally joins you and tells you he'll cover you from a window while you head to the far end of the courtyard. By the time you make it, the entire rest of the squad is dead, and you're forced to continue to the next level alone.

This isn't the first mission, but rather just the first level. Things continue apace from there. While not all of the following levels are as eventful as the first, virtually every one breaks up the traditional straightforward run-and-gun action with some twist.

Main Advantages...
*Everything!!!

Main Disadvantages...
*Nothing!!!

Have posted a video of my mission in Omaha beach assault...

Rating according my view abt the game:9/10

Will be reviewing more games and my experiences....

Rawalpindi Express Derailed Again

8:11 PM Posted In Edit This 1 Comment »
Shoaib Akhtar, the fiery pacer from Rawalpindi, has been banned from playing international cricket for a period of five years by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) . The latest ban could potentially end Shoaib's stellar international career which has always been eclipsed by controversies and disciplinary breaches.

The latest ban was handed down after Shoaib turned down a retainership from the PCB and openly criticized the PCB for not offering him a national contract. The pacer was already on probation period for two years after hitting Mohammad Asif with a bat just before the Twenty 20 world cup. Controversies aside, Shoaib's career was also marred by injuries. He frequently suffered injuries during the course of a match which severely hampered his team's bowling arsenal.

However when he was at his peak, Shoaib was often unplayable. He consistently clocked over 90 mph and proved to be a menace for the opposition ranks. The Rawalpindi express was instrumental in Pakistan reaching the 1999 world cup finals, where they ultimately lost to the all conquering Aussies.

He has vowed to appeal against the ban. But irrespective of the verdict, he will always be remembered as a genuine entertainer who brought joy to the spectators.

DAY 2:

Dotabetta Peak and Pykara Dam :

After an exiting first day, we got ready for the second day, wishing it to be the same as previous one. It was very cold in the morning. The geysers at the hotel didn’t work in some rooms, so the people there had no options left except to take bath in cold water. Everyone feared it, but it was Aashik (ATM) to be the first person to do it. Ooh!!! Hmmm…. he is more than a cave man, that time. The others followed him. It was the 3rd of March, to be precise it was Kaushik’s (Cow) birthday. We then started to Dotabetta peak, which is the highest peak in south India, and it was just 18 km from our hotel. It took around half an hour to reach the place. We had to take the stairs at the parking area to reach the peak. It was very cold out there; better wear a sweater when you visit this place. We had to warm up ourselves by eating groundnuts packed with masala. It costs just 10 bucks; in fact it tasted very good. We were dumbstruck by the beauty of the nature when seen from the peak. In simple words, it was awesome. The peak stood proud and tall above all.

We experienced little breezes, and just felt that we were integrated with it. At one view, we saw just green trees and plants covering the whole ground. It was very pleasant to watch the valley beneath, a dam adding to it. In another view, we saw nothing as the whole area was fog-bound. That was something similar to a feel, when you walk over clouds. Another way lead us a few steps from the peak (different from the entrance), where we had a chance of getting a better view of the valley. The valley was very deep; barricades stopped us from falling into it. There was a telescope at the peak which zoomed in the inner parts of the city and even conoor too. The same time we shared fun with each other. Me and gujako were involved in mocking few girls. Those girls were from north India for sure, and many looked too good. One among them was too beautiful and sexy too!!! We also had fun pairing vidyazhini with an old man. Alas! It was time that we had to leave. We returned to our vehicles. We disclosed the cake we bought for cow there. We sung a birthday song and he cut his cake. The moment was great when we all shared the cake and ATM was doing his sprouting business with the 7 up there. We left the place with our hearts back at the place and with those girls.

We then headed towards the Pykara dam, whereon the way we stopped for few minutes to see the 7 mile island, a famous shooting spot. The ticket per person was Rs-2 / at Pykara. We had to walk around 2 kms to reach the exact place from the main road. The place was very quite and just looked great. Though there was not enough water at the place, it still looked spirited. Me, navaneeth (nathari),bladezz, mappi and gujako covered more area just to get awesome pictures of us. Meanwhile powder B was having great time and fun with few white sheep’s which were grazing there. He earned a name from us just for being with them for few minutes. It’s always great fun when it comes to mocking powder B. It got late and we had to leave the place. On returning gujako found his new friend, a female sheep, and he was just singing “Baba White sheep, have you wool” at it. I didn’t know whether the sheep sung the second line “Yes sir, yes sir 3 bags full”, when I saw the same sheep following gujako where all he went. It was fun and entertaining when gujako started to drive those sheep’s to the main road. We then started to our next destination WAYANAD which is in kerala. Wayanad is 100 kms from Ooty or an three an half hours drive from Ooty. The travel was interesting as we crossed only tall trees all the way. Kishore was thankful to his driver, as he drove very slowly and carefully at the turns ensuring that he didn’t vomit. (Kishore always vomits when he is in travel to a hill station, as he is allergic to it). In contrary, everyone in our vehicle felt like vomiting and it was priyanka who broke out first. On the way to Wayanad, we stopped near a valley like region wherein we spotted wild horses. Me, gujako and bladezz had just enough time to get closer to those horses to take few snaps of them. Finally we reached Wayanad at around 7 in the evening. We checked into the Isaacs Regency Hotel. The hotel was very good. We had our dinner there. We then conducted a small badminton tournament and the participants were Navaneeth, Srikanth (Flute), Nataraj (Nutti), Emerson (Bison), Mappi, Bladezz, Gujako, Powder B, Rajasekar (Vanduttu) and me. Nutti emerged as the winner in the end. Sahaya and Vidyazhini played a exhibition match. We ended our day with this as it was late in the night.

The second day was just great with the fun we had and we were tired that we had to sleep.

Medal Of Honor-AirBorne Review Contd

10:42 PM Posted In Edit This 0 Comments »

Actually this is the next version of the Medal Of Honor(after Pacific Assault) which is presented with extreme graphic details and advanced computer enemies(AI).So let me tell u wat the game is actually abt...

Medal of Honor: Airborne takes a different approach to World War II shooters. Instead of starting players out in each straight level on a path where there's no change in battlefield, EA games decided to let us choose where to start each mission by throwing us out of a plane.
Once floating in the air, it's a matter of steering the parachute to the best location to start the fight. Where the best location is depends on how you want to play the game, that certainly is useful if you want a challenge or find that it's more fun to start out in a certain place on a map. It also provides an opportunity to drop into a new location if the previous one was a little too difficult or even complete one of the five different skill drops (drops in very specific areas).

A compass will show the way to the various objectives so tat it's easy to steer in the right direction. It's also nice to be able to land on the high ground to get a good view of the action and shoot a few enemies before jumping down. The main problem is tat in some of the missions, landing in those high positions doesn't really mean much. Because of the way the game is structured, enemies will continue to re-spawn in the area of objectives so that the challenge remains consistent. In order for enemies to stop spawning, you'll have to jump down and advance the action yourself.

And futher the level designing is good except for there are only a few levels some 5 or 6...Actually the mission selection in this game is left to our choice in case there r 3 mission we can choose watever mission we want and head our way in tat direction.

There r some main drawbacks namely no extra AI movement of the tank and halftracks(a vehicle with a infantry troops armed with a main machine gunner)Tanks seems to take only round motion and tat too in only one level and halftracks are used to block out entrances in the last level.

As the level increases the more tougher the enemy gets and at last comes the enemy with a powerful machine gun it really takes 2 panzershreck cannons to destroy him even a tank takes 1!!!!

Main Advantages....
*Good Graphics and AI
*Excellent levels and good missions
*Good Storymode campaign
*Fight anywhere freely ability
*Finish as u wish missions
*Good Presentation
*Good Weapon Upgrades as u continue to be a master with a weapon
*All weapons are good especially the Springfield Sniper(USname) as it has a new ability of holdin breath while takin long range sniping shots for more stability on target

Main Disadvantages...
*Could have increased the no of levels in the game
*Very little interaction from enemy tanks which goes only in circular rounds
*Motionless Halftracks
*Unblowable tanks halftracks and other things
*Very easily blowable crates are used as covers in this game
*Panzershrecks of no use coz they dont destroy anything!!!
*No weapon equpity before landing
*Very limited features like non-accessibility to using tanks, halftracks, etc.

Rating according to my view abt the game: 7.5/10
See u all with a review of another game!!!
