!FRIENDS, The Movie!

11:29 PM Posted In Edit This 0 Comments »

The highly anticipated film production of the famous television series Friends, has finally been given the go-ahead, according to reports! The cast are said to have agreed to the project after witnessing the box office success of Sex and the City, another hit television series given the movie treatment!

Rumors of a reunion for the six Friends stars - Jennifer Anniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, Matthew Perry and Matt LeBlanc - have been around ever since the show ended in 2004!

The cast is now reported to have signed up for a movie version, produced by Warner Bros, with filming scheduled to start within 18 months! Jennifer, Courteney and the rest of the cast are keen to reprise their roles, under the right circumstances. The success of Sex and the City has really got their wheels spinning about how a Friends film could be just as big, if done right!

Cox has made no secret of her desire to get the gang together for one last outing, but Anniston has been reluctant! What's held back a Friends movie so far is that people were worried that Jennifer had simply become too famous to play Rachel again. But the truth is that Jennifer is finally willing to do it, and she'd love to work with that whole team of actors and producers again! She says she and Courteney have already talked this summer about what they want out of a Friends movie, and if deals can be made with them, everything else can fall in place rather quickly!

So all Friends fans, theres a treat waiting for you!

It’ Windows again!!!

Microsoft is now in the process of developing its next version of windows. It is developing the final stage of the version and is expected to be completed by the end of 2009. Microsoft calls it "Windows 7". It’s the successor of Vista which faced early obstacles but yet caught the market. Bill Gates is very confident that the next version would 100 % perfect. Let’s all hope it would be so!!!

But there is a rumour that Windows 7 might not have “Word” in it. If in that case then its surely a big drawback.

The theme for Windows 7 has been designed. Free themes are available in the net. I have one installed in my computer. Here is few screen shots of that!!!

More or not, its the same like Vista but its looks good. Few transparent themes too available.

Will be updating more on Windows 7 guys... So do look in frequently....

!Rhyming Couplets!

12:36 AM Posted In Edit This 0 Comments »

I was in splits after reading this... Now here it is for your viewing pleasure!

A local newspaper (in England) ran a competition asking for a rhyme with the most romantic first line... But the least romantic second line.

Here are some of the entries they received:

--------------------------

My feelings for you no words can tell,

Except for maybe " go to hell "

--------------------------

Roses are red, violets are blue, sugar is sweet, and so are you.

But the roses are wilting, the violets are dead, the sugar bowl's empty and so is your head.

--------------------------

Oh loving beauty you float with grace

If only you could hide your face

--------------------------

Kind, intelligent, loving and hot;

This describes everything you are not!

--------------------------

I want to feel your sweet embrace

But don't take that paper bag off of your face

--------------------------

I love your smile, your face, and your eyes;

Damn, I'm good at telling lies !

--------------------------

I see your face when I am dreaming.

That's why I always wake up screaming

--------------------------

My love, you take my breath away.

What have you stepped in to smell this way.

Let the world know that you got teeth! Take time to laugh!

Mobiles Galore!!!!!

P-Per Mobile Phone:

P-Per Mobile Phone Could Challenge iPhone!

Those sweet lads over at the Chocolate Agency have come up with yet another delectable concept dubbed P-Per; a concept mobile phone that would satisfy both environmentalists and tech nerds. The design consists of just 4 layers, a printed circuit board, extruded polycarbonate, recycled titanium, and a wrap around flexible haptic LED touchscreen. By minimizing materials, the design is highly sustainable.

The wrap around screen allows for endless user interface possibilities not to mention bezeless picture/movie taking and watching. If that weren’t enough to challenge the iPhone, how about a 7mm wafer thin form factor, 3 megapixel camera, had a 2-5 minute recharge time!!!!!!!!!!!

Sony Ericsson Has a Thumb!!!

Sony Ericsson Plays Nice With Thumb Drives

You know, industrial designers seem to love conceptualizing what future Sony Ericsson mobiles will look like. Designer Vincent Palicki is just one of many but his design actually looks like it could be made today and fit right in with the SE family.

It’s a slim candy bar style phone complete with a big screen, standard SE key layout but touched up with stainless steel buttons. Yes it’ll do music, movies, text, email, blah blah and blah so where’s the innovation here? It would be the full size USB port, perfect for any thumb drive. Of course it’s not meant to have a “sore thumb” sticking out at all times, but it’s a way to transfer files like music, videos, and pictures to and from without the need of a computer.

Mobiles Rubberised????

Rubberized Mobile Phone -

Fresh and bliss, say phone expresses an open-minded attitude. It comes in three cheerful colors. The rubberized body is contrasted with a slightly angled glossy keypad that fit perfectly in the talking position. On the back a 4-mega pixels camera and a pair of stereo speakers are arranged in a graphical and eye-catching manner. The design is elegantly minimal, fun and strikingly modern. And its eco-friendly too with waste RUBBER MATERIAL!!!!!!!!

Best Way to send a Resume

8:56 AM Posted In Edit This 0 Comments »

The most famously asked question abt Resumes......

“What is the best way to submit my resume to a potential employer? I’ve been sending my resume out over email, but about 2 out of 3 don’t get any of response.”

The question is a simple one, but the answer is sort of complex. Let me answer it in three different ways:

Answer Number One: The short answer is, the best way to submit your resume is to submit it exactly the way the employer suggests. A lot of employers, especially the bigger ones, have specific and sometimes complex ways of receiving and sorting resumes. If you don’t follow their submission suggestions, all you’re doing is inviting them to ignore you. If you’re submitting online, use the online submission form they probably have set up. If they tell you to email it, then email it. Fax? Fax it. Do exactly what they tell you and you can’t go wrong, even if that means submitting the resume differently for each different employer.

Answer Number Deux: You say you’ve been sending over email. Email submission, while extremely popular, has it’s own set of problems. The main issue is spam. Your resume is not spam (hopefully) but a lot of the spam blockers companies use in their corporate email systems don’t know that. It’s not uncommon for corporate spam blockers to stop all emails with file attachments if they come from unknown email addresses. So, attaching your snazzy Word resume file to your email might be the very reason you can’t get through.

The best thing to do is send your resume in the body of the email. That’s right, don’t send an attachment… simply cut and paste your resume text into the email itself. This way there’s no attachment and your resume comes in just like a regular email.

If you cut and paste your resume into an email, make sure you go back and fix any line breaks or garbled text that result in you cutting and pasting from your word processor to your email program. A good way to do this is to first paste the resume into a text editor (like the Notepad program in windows) and then select that text from the text editor. When you select this new text, and then copy and paste into your email, you’re selecting the pure text only. Again, make sure you glance over the final email to catch any formatting problems. And finally send a formatted copy of the resume to ur own mail and check how it looks, this way u can alter any changes!!!

Answer Number the Third: The all-time best way to submit your resume is by hand. That’s right… old fashioned person to person contact. Show up at the office and put it in the hiring manager’s hand yourself. Even if you just leave it with a secretary, he’s going to have to kick it up the ladder by hand after you leave. This method is not always feasible, I understand, but whenever it’s even slightly possible, it’s worth it for you to make the effort. That old saw about putting a name to a face is not just an old wives tale. It’s a fact.

But one of the best writers ever hired by a company( As i know ) was someone out of the blue.

HR "Head" 's Words:

One day in the regular mail (snail mail, not email) I opened up a large legal-sized envelope. Inside was a two-page resume along with sample resumes and a formal introduction letter from a retired lawyer on the west coast. It turns out that the gentleman, upon retirement, had started to specialize in writing legal resumes, a very sought after specialization for us. He had taken the time to become certified, and his sample work was outstanding. The resume and the letter were formal and very professional. It was clear in just the tone of his writing that this guy was good… old-school good. Not only had he taken the time to submit his resume the traditional, professional way, with care, craft and on paper- he sent it to my personal address! This means he had taken the time to research the company, find out who was in charge, and put himself in front of me directly in the best way possible. Far from being offended, I was thrilled because clearly this guy knew how to win the job search game.

Long story short, I phoned the guy up immediately, interviewed him, and hired him right away. He specializes ONLY in legal resumes, so he doesn’t work with as many clients some of our others writers do. But his resumes are golden, and the clients always adore him. He’s still with my company to this day.

And you know what? He would never have gotten my attention if I hadn’t made that extra story!!!!

Sweet Dreams !!! Sad Happenings !!!

8:14 AM Posted In Edit This 4 Comments »
Everyone wishes Sweet Dreams to their loved ones before they go to sleep. But we can't assure a really sweet dream !! There is a say or superstition in India that when a person dreams of his friendly gene or close relative getting married, the result would be bitter. They say it would lead a person of his/her relative to death in a mean time.

My mom had a dream last Saturday. She dream't that her brother was getting married to a woman. She believes in superstitions to a certain extent. She believed something gonna happen. I had to convince her and make her alright. She had the same dream the next day too. This put her in great distress. I told her not to believe such things. But still she was worried. Two days passed and she was pretty ok. The third day(Wednesday), we received a news that a one and a half year old child died. The mother of the child is a close relative of my mom, of course for me too !!! That really shocked us, my mom's prophecy came true !!! I couldn't believe this. The child was paralyzed for a year. It can only rotate its eyes. Its body is that of a size of a new born child. Its leg and hands are always held stiff. The child was treated by doctors but they had no hope of curing it. They said that its life would last only for 6 more months. But it died 5 months before its date. I still couldn't believe this... Don't know whether it died of the disease or don't know whether our ancestors were true or not... But i wont blame my mom for this !!! Hmmm!!! What to say about it?? It just happens and we gotta take it as it comes...

Gadgets Of the Week--Part 3

12:11 AM Posted In Edit This 0 Comments »
COMPENION - COMPUTER SYSTEMBased on a personal computer that accompanies you through your day and context-oriented docking stations at personal spaces like in the office or at home. Those stations are matching the needs of the user in their particular surrounding, like home entertainment in the living room or conferences and multi-tasking at the office. The computer itself is a OLED-touchscreen slider, with a second hidden touchscreen underneath. This way, it gives you a similar working experience as with a 2-monitor setup. It is controlled per hand or via a “senstylus pen”, that you can use like a normal pen or twist it and use it as a 3d-sensor remote, with a sensor field under the thumb for precise menu controls.

LAPTOP-DESKTOP!!!
The whole idea of notebook docks was interesting 10+ years ago when we had to be frugal with our I/O ports and live with subpar LCD screens. Now that notebooks have pretty much caught up with desktops, do we really need another docking solution? According to designer Yong-Seong Kim, we do.

His go-anywhere desktop docking solution calls for a large slot behind the LCD display. This is where you slide your notebook in, allowing you to access all its information from a desktop form factor. The notebook’s screen also becomes your second display, in portrait mode of course. It’s an interesting concept but somehow, this makes as much sense as the Palm Folio.

TEMPO TRASH!!!
Cagnina Design has recently developed a unique external hard drive for Intech called Tempo. As files are deleted, they are automatically copied to the mini-trash can-shaped device, providing an extra safety net should the user accidentally delete important files. As the 250 GB of space is used up, embedded LEDs light Tempo's exterior surface from the bottom up, as if it were physically being filled.

Designed to mimic the look of a trash can, TEMPO is a unique hard drive storage device. Intended to protect the user from accidentally deleting files, it can also be used as an external storage device. As you delete files, they are automatically copied to the TEMPO. As it fills up, led's light the "can" from the bottom up, informing you of how much space is available. Tempo is just a concept. It hasn't been technologically designed. Hope to find one soon!!!!
