Medal Of Honor-AirBorne Review Contd

Actually this is the next version of the Medal Of Honor(after Pacific Assault) which is presented with extreme graphic details and advanced computer enemies(AI).So let me tell u wat the game is actually abt...

Medal of Honor: Airborne takes a different approach to World War II shooters. Instead of starting players out in each straight level on a path where there's no change in battlefield, EA games decided to let us choose where to start each mission by throwing us out of a plane.
Once floating in the air, it's a matter of steering the parachute to the best location to start the fight. Where the best location is depends on how you want to play the game, that certainly is useful if you want a challenge or find that it's more fun to start out in a certain place on a map. It also provides an opportunity to drop into a new location if the previous one was a little too difficult or even complete one of the five different skill drops (drops in very specific areas).

A compass will show the way to the various objectives so tat it's easy to steer in the right direction. It's also nice to be able to land on the high ground to get a good view of the action and shoot a few enemies before jumping down. The main problem is tat in some of the missions, landing in those high positions doesn't really mean much. Because of the way the game is structured, enemies will continue to re-spawn in the area of objectives so that the challenge remains consistent. In order for enemies to stop spawning, you'll have to jump down and advance the action yourself.

And futher the level designing is good except for there are only a few levels some 5 or 6...Actually the mission selection in this game is left to our choice in case there r 3 mission we can choose watever mission we want and head our way in tat direction.

There r some main drawbacks namely no extra AI movement of the tank and halftracks(a vehicle with a infantry troops armed with a main machine gunner)Tanks seems to take only round motion and tat too in only one level and halftracks are used to block out entrances in the last level.

As the level increases the more tougher the enemy gets and at last comes the enemy with a powerful machine gun it really takes 2 panzershreck cannons to destroy him even a tank takes 1!!!!

Main Advantages....
*Good Graphics and AI
*Excellent levels and good missions
*Good Storymode campaign
*Fight anywhere freely ability
*Finish as u wish missions
*Good Presentation
*Good Weapon Upgrades as u continue to be a master with a weapon
*All weapons are good especially the Springfield Sniper(USname) as it has a new ability of holdin breath while takin long range sniping shots for more stability on target

Main Disadvantages...
*Could have increased the no of levels in the game
*Very little interaction from enemy tanks which goes only in circular rounds
*Motionless Halftracks
*Unblowable tanks halftracks and other things
*Very easily blowable crates are used as covers in this game
*Panzershrecks of no use coz they dont destroy anything!!!
*No weapon equpity before landing
*Very limited features like non-accessibility to using tanks, halftracks, etc.

Rating according to my view abt the game: 7.5/10
See u all with a review of another game!!!

Our College Tour :

Our class had planned a tour to OOTY and WAYANAD between 1st and 6th of March. We visited Botanical gardens and the Lake at Ooty and Edacal caves, Kuruva islands and Meenmutty falls at Wayanad. Read our experiences and fun we had and enjoy them.

DAY 1:

Ooty Lake and Botanical Gardens :

We boarded the Coimbatore express at 22.20 on 1st evening of March. We reached Coimbatore at 7 am on the next morning. We took two tempo travelers to Ooty. We had our lunch at hotel Annapurna on the way and the Breakfast we had there was so good. We reached Ooty by 11. We got ourselves ready for the day at Moti Manor .The hotel was pretty good and its appearance was really pleasing. We then started to the Lake at Ooty for boating. Each boat (peddle) could carry 4 persons and we got to deposit 200 rupees for the boat of which 100/- was refundable. Myself (vadi), Praveen (gujako), Sriram (bladezz) and Ganesh (mappi) got into the last boat. We have to reasons to explain why we had a motor boat ride instead of peddling!!!! Our boat was the slowest of all, gujako got to use his cycling skills in moving the boat but despite his efforts and mine and mappi, the boat just moved inches. We managed to peddle to the farthest distance, but bad luck assisting again the boat did not move at all when we decided to return. It was a great stunt to see Balaji (powder B) and gujako exchanging their places respective places of two separate boats at the lake. Powder B tried hard, but couldn't do anything to drive the boat. Alas, a motor boat came for our rescue. The fact was every boat was allowed a ride for ½ an hour, but we took an hour. The motor boat took us to the shore and at last we were safe !!!! You should have had a look at gujako’s face that time on seeing us in a motor boat!!!

We then started to the botanical gardens which was just 5 kms from the lake. The garden was really awesome, you could see big trees all over. To explain about the large lawn there, I wanted to spend my whole night there. People there were having great time playing kabadi with their families. We visited the green house there, though small, was just enough to pull down my jaws. I could see only flowers with beautiful colors. We walked our way through the gardens and noticed that around 90% of the trees were imported from Australia. Few tall trees from Mexico could be spotted too. Srikanth took around 100 pics in just around 2 hrs. We had a coffee inside the garden just to warm ourselves from the cold. We spotted flowers which were Bell shaped. I was really amazed seeing that. We then went shopping outside the gardens. Vishnupriya found me and showed some home made chocolates. Those chocolates tasted too good that I carried two packs for my sisters. Meanwhile Aashik had ice creams, man he is so different, just to have ice creams under cold conditions.

Finally it was a great day with fun and pleasure. Though cold outside, we had a long walk to a hotel just to have dinner at night.

Medal Of Honor : Air Borne Review...

It has been quite some time i have released something....So here is a post abt a game tat i have played recently my views abt the game and wat the game is all abt.....

Actually my last game which i played in this version of the game was Medal Of Honor : Allied Assault which was totally awesome in almost all the ways. After playin this game i was very thrilled to buy the Airborne game which i thought would be very nice to play and so the game turned out to be good on some and bad on the other.

Actually these type Of WW-IIgames was kindled by the famous director cum producer Stephen Speilberg who did a magnamous film named 'Saving Private Ryan' which created waves all over the world for its excellent portraiting techniques of the WW-II Battlegrounds the soldiers experience their true valor and patriotism their courage and almost their willingness to give their life for their country.
Will be cont the review in the nxt post...

RDB... Had heard a lot abt the film an was longin to c wat made it special! So I finally sat down jus hopin that this wudn b jus another commercial cliche! But I was witness to a 2hr 46min 49sec smasher!
I fear ma ordinary language can never b able to crown the film of its deserved acclaim!
More important was wat i did after the movie.... I was certainly inspired to peep into the info on those 5 revolutionaries stunningly portrayed in the movie:

ASHFAQULLA KHAN
RAMPRASAD BISMIL
BHAGAT SINGH
CHANDRASHEKAR AZAD
RAJGURU

And particularly after gettin a glimpse on the life of Chandrashekar 'Azad', I was literally wonderin whether I had wasted all ma 21 years! This man was too troublesome to the British and became famous for bein a part of the 'kakori train robbery' and the shootin of Saunders (to avenge the death of L.Lajpat Rai). He vowed to die as a free man an did the same.. shootin himself to prevent capture! The pic shows Azad's dead body kept on public display by the British to serve as a warning message for other revolutionaries. Little did they know that he had sown the seeds of many more 'Azads'!

Alas I had seen a SENSIBLE movie in eons!

Cricket Needs A Reality Check

6:08 PM Posted In Edit This 3 Comments »
England and Somerset batsman Marcus Trescothick has announced his retirement from international cricket. A prolific opener, he played a pivotal role in Ashes 05,which England won after 16 years. He was named Wisden Cricketer of the year in 2005 for his achievements in the game.

But the pressures of international cricket had taken its toll on him. His first signs of trouble came when he pulled out of the India tour in Feb 06, citing personal reasons. Subsequently he also missed the Champions trophy in India. He was then selected to play in Ashes 06. But he apparently broke down in the dressing room due to the recurrence of the stress related illness.

He did not make it to the international fold again. Thus a promising career has been cruelly cut short due to the extremely high level of stress involved in present day cricket. The players are being constantly monitored and scrutinized by the media. The loss of privacy and personal space affect their lives. Even the stratospheric pay packets cant alleviate the stress.

After all Cricket is just a game and just be played in a amiable manner, so that it brings joy to both the players and spectators.
