And about the birds…

To say about the birds at the Vandalur Zoo, they are cared better than the animals. May be for the reason they are small. :) Anyways!! The zoo has a lot of birds and a lot of variety among them. The Peacocks welcomes us to the birds section. The Blues and the white species are separately preserved. The Peacock being the National animal of India has no trouble at the place. The Pheasants are displayed in the next section. There are a variety of Pheasants; I don’t remember their names actually, so please excuse me for that!! Gray color Pheasants, red color Pheasants and a 3 color Pheasant like bird were in display. Some more Pheasants were there but they resembled more like the ordinary Chickens.

The next section had parakeets; I love these kinds of birds a lot!!! I didn’t know there are so many kinds of them. There were round red necked parakeets, yellow necked parakeets, long tailed parakeets and many. The zoo even had a Scarlet Macaw, and it was just beautiful as a rainbow!! Prettier than Scarlet Johnson… :) And there were little birds like the lapwings, cockatoos, partridges, cockatiels too. They were the ones that can make people feel cool
under the hot sun!!

And there were two huge parrots in one cage… Guess they were Mountain Parrots. Those two were eating Bread and Red Chilies and were happily singing. Bladezz and I were recording that in a mobile and we whistled at them to grab their attention. The birds reacted to our whistle and

sang back in the same tone. We were amazed. We didn’t know these birds have had such good talents!! And bladezz has that video but he is in Bangalore right now!! So will post the video as soon as he comes… till then take care….
